Disposable columns

Chromatography columns.

These columns are for use in general chromatographic work for extraction of components, with special applications in isoenzyme and protein studies, hemoglobin fractionation and desalting. Chromatography columns are precision-molded in 5 ̋ and 7 ̋ sizes from premium-grade, chemically inert plastics.

Polystyrene columns are glass-clear and appropriate for use with mild acidic (except oxidizing acids) and alkali solutions. Polypropylene columns are contact-transparent, more chemically-resistant and appropriate for use with organic solvents and stronger acids (except oxidizing acids) and alkalis.

Chromatography columns include reservoir & end caps and polyethylene filter matrix supports in one of three porosities.

Extraction columns.

These columns are for use in drug extractions, HPLC sample preparation, general chromatography applications and other research procedures and may also be used “piggybacked.”

Columns measure 3-3/8 ̋ long and include a medium polyethylene filter matrix support. Large reservoirs and cartridge portions with straight sidewalls accommodate solid-phase packing material such as silica and alumina. Columns are available either natural polypropylene or light-shielding amber color.
