Microscope slide stainers

Standard staining jar.

Each standard staining jar comes with two lids and one 20-slide staining basket. The lid with the slot is for use during staining process. The second lid is for covering the jar to minimize evaporation of stain.

Jar and lids are constructed of polymethylpentene (TPX); the 20-slide staining basket with its attached handle are constructed of polypropylene. This staining jar is compatible with microwave procedures for up to 5 minutes.

Universal staining kit.

The compact staining kit includes a stain/reagent bath with lid, a 25-slide staining rack with handle, and drying tray. The polymethylpentene (TPX) construction is suitable for xylene and alcohol (not phenol), most microwave procedures (for up to 5 minutes at a time), and may also be frozen.

The bath uses only 150 ml of stain. The tight-sealing lid is light-proof to make the kit appropriate for autoradiography applications.

Hellendahl-type jar.

The “Hellendahl-type” jar has eight slots. Each slot can accommodate two 3˝×1˝ slides back-to-back. Both lid and jar are constructed of polymethylpentene (TPX). Microwave oven compatible for up to 5 minutes at a time.

Cover slip stainer.

Cover slip stainers are ideal for staining cover slips. They are made with up to 100% recycled polypropylene. This helps to reduce raw material consumption and allows potential scrap to be reused productively.
