MST™ microscrewcap tubes - available in 0.5 ml freestanding, 1.5 ml conical and freestanding, and 2.0 ml conical and
freestanding versions - are recommended for storing blood/serum samples, cell cultures, sperm and other biological specimens at vapor-phase* liquid nitrogen temperatures (-320°F/-195°C).
All MST microscrewcap tubes have external-thread design which is less susceptible to aerosol contamination than internal-thread vials.
The polypropylene copolymer used in MST tubes is nearly transparent and virtually haze free. It was selected for superior tensile strength and resistance to gamma radiation sterilization.

*Evergreen does not recommend the use of MST microscrewcap tubes for immersion in liquid nitrogen or any other liquified gases. Immersion in liquid nitrogen may cause leakage with subsequent danger of rapid pressure build-up and/or explosion when returned to room temperature. Please use MST microscrewcap tubes in the vapor phase only.

All of our polyethylene screw caps feature a molded-in sealing ring. The rim-seal design provides leakproof closure without the use of a silicone gasket.
Evergreen pioneered rim-seal caps in 1975. We have found that a properly designed rim-seal cap is extremely effective in sealing small vials with opening diameters less than 40 mm. Like Cryosure® vials, MST™ tubes have sealing efficacy no less than 99.9%.
You can choose any of three cap styles: flat top, H type (recessed), or tethered (shown left to right above).
All cap styles are available in natural, green, red, blue, yellow, orange, lavender and white. Flat caps are also available in chocolate brown.
